COVID-19 UPDATE - NOVA SCOTIA
Consistent with the declaration of a State of Emergency in Nova Scotia, we fully support and have taken the following steps to ensure we adhere to the necessary measures.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
- We have taken the steps inside our dealerships to ensure social distancing is being practiced by restricting groups to a maximum of 5 people in any given workspace area.
- Rigorous cleaning and disinfecting practices continue to take place.
SALES DEPARTMENT
All visits to our showrooms will be by sales appointment only. Please contact us by your preferred method of communication (telephone, text message, website or instant messaging) and we will be happy to schedule an appointment with you. All contact information is listed below.
Let us know which vehicle you are interested in and we will send you a detailed walk around video of that vehicle. Much of the communication including financing details can be addressed via text, phone, online tools, thereby minimizing the amount of time required in the showroom itself.
SERVICE DEPARTMENT
We realize that servicing your vehicle is essential. If you are able, please drop off your vehicle and leave your keys in the key drop off. If this is not possible, please contact us (see below) to discuss possible alternative arrangements. *Please note that our shuttle service is currently suspended for the health and safety of our customers and employees.
For all service customers, a full pre-repair video of your car noting the required work and costs will be sent to you for review and confirmation.
We sincerely thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time.
MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT & C00 REGARDING COVID-19
March 14, 2020 Halifax Nova Scotia
To Our Valued Customers, Employees and Friends,
The Steele Auto Group and our entire family of dealerships is committed to protecting the health and wellbeing of our employees, customers and communities today and everyday.
We want you to know that we are monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation closely and have taken several preventative steps toward ensuring safe and clean facilities.
Employee Focus:
Our employees are receiving continuous communications regarding preventative measures detailing how to protect against transmission of the virus (including washing hands regularly, implementing hand sanitizer stations, frequent cleaning of high-touch areas, to name a few).
Employees who are not feeling well have been asked to stay home. We have placed restrictions on all work-related travel both Domestic and International as well as a 14-day quarantine on all staff returning from travel outside of Canada.
Customer Focus:
For our customers we will continue to exercise enhanced cleaning protocols in all our dealerships and collision centres including continuous cleaning of high-touch surfaces in all areas of our dealerships, vehicles in showrooms, service customer vehicles, vehicles being test-driven, and vehicles being delivered.
If at anytime, you feel unsafe or are unable to visit the dealership, we will come to you, just ask. Please contact the dealership directly. If you are not feeling well, we ask that you consider communicating with us using other means - chat, text, phone, email, etc.
We will ensure that we have open channels of communication with our customers throughout this situation, including offering concierge services. These measures will allow us to ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone. As an additional precaution we've asked our team members to refrain from shaking hands; please accept our salutations as a sign of respect and consideration for your health and safety.
Community Focus:
We will continue monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) updates, and will respond based on the advice of governments, public health authorities, and medical professionals.
The Steele Auto Group is committed to provide you with the best customer experience in the industry and to be your "Destination of choice for everything Auto".
Sincerely,
Kim Day
President and COO
